The VRO was actually born in 1967. In this period Antoon (Tony) Vyverman founded the club, then under the name BVRO (Belgische Vereniging voor Raket Onderzoek - Belgian Rocket Research Association). International launches happened in France, The Netherlands, Danemark and some other European Countries.
