This is the FAA's web site for the "Associate Administrator for Commercial Space Transportation" office. This is where experimental rocketry people can go to get information on getting the necessary permits, waivers and licenses needed to compete for things like the CATS prize or X Prize, along with flying the really big projects.

Our mission is to ensure protection of the public, property, and the national security and foreign policy interests of the United States during a commercial launch or re-entry activity. We also encourage, facilitate, and promote U.S. commercial space transportation.
